Dopami Break Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 15, 2026
Dopami Break is a Chrome extension that helps users turn distracting moments into short, manageable missions. This Privacy Policy explains what information Dopami Break processes, why it is processed, and how it is stored.
1. Information We Process
Local Extension Data
Dopami Break stores the following information in the user's browser:
- Local XP and completed mission count
- Daily streak and last completion date
- Current mission, timer, selected room, energy level, and duration
- Whether focus mode is enabled
This information is used only to provide the extension's mission, timer, progression, and session-restoration features.
Dopami Account Information
Signing in to a Dopami account is optional. When a user signs in, Dopami Break processes:
- Email address and password submitted for authentication
- Access and refresh tokens returned by the Dopami API
- Basic Dopami profile information, such as name, email address, and total XP
Passwords are sent directly to the Dopami API over HTTPS and are not stored by the extension.
Authentication tokens and profile information are stored in chrome.storage.local on the user's device. Authentication tokens are not stored in Chrome synchronized storage.
2. How We Use Information
Information is processed only to:
- Suggest and display short missions
- Run and restore active timers
- Track local XP and daily streaks
- Temporarily enable focus mode
- Authenticate an optional Dopami account
- Display the connected user's Dopami profile and XP
Dopami Break does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
3. Website Access and Focus Mode
When focus mode is enabled, Dopami Break temporarily redirects supported distracting websites to a local focus page.
The extension does not read, collect, store, or analyze the contents of pages visited on those websites. Access is used only to perform the temporary redirect during an active mission.
4. Data Sharing
Dopami Break does not share personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
When a user chooses to connect a Dopami account, authentication and profile requests are sent to the Dopami API:
https://api-preprod.do-pami.com
The Dopami API processes those requests to authenticate the account and return profile information.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Local progression data may be stored using Chrome synchronized storage so it can remain available across the user's Chrome browsers.
Active sessions, authentication tokens, and Dopami account information are stored locally in the user's browser.
Users can remove locally stored extension data by uninstalling Dopami Break or clearing the extension's storage. Users can remove authentication data by selecting Disconnect inside the extension.
6. Data Security
Dopami Break communicates with the Dopami API using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are kept in local extension storage and are not exposed to websites visited by the user.
7. Children's Privacy
Dopami Break is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Dopami Break's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when changes are made.
